Mech Warrior 4 just never caught on. There were not enough skilled pilots out there to go up against. The landscape was littered with the burning remains of the numerous n00b-mobiles, otherwise known as Daishi's. Nobody had the skill to play worth a damn, and a new game was on the horizon, Anarchy Online. Just like Asherons Call, but in the future, with guns, vehicles, etc. And opposing sides, so we could have a story line based on player actions.
