Why is BK a little late on the announcement of BioWare's new epic master work, Dragon Age Origins? Well for one, this reporter has been up to his neck in Dragon, and Darkspawn blood playing it!
Dragon Age: Origins is the successor to BioWares critically acclaimed hit, Baldurs Gate. Dragon Age: Origins features deep character customization, role-playing, moral decision making, and tactical party based combat and gritty/mature sub-plots.

This BK gives it five Swords. Try it out. It promises to have a huge community to build on the world. I have high hopes for the future of online RPG's, even after playing this in single player. Graphically it is a little behind the curve, but the game play and characters are what will keep you coming back to spill more blood.
Than, I agree with you 100%. I stated the slight criticism that way, in hopes that it would imply that you CAN play this, even if your machine is a little slow these days.
I'm literally fighting for a Kingship right now, with 3 characters I care deeply about. Kinda weird, but the characters are that visceral in their realism. Pure psychology went into the writing, and it draws you in.
I just got this for PS3 because the PC version does indeed have high system requirements. It also looks a ton better on PC than on consoles, but whatever, it still looks awesome on PS3 (yeah, I've been running a ghetto rig, everything looks awesome on PS3, sue me).
Awesome, awesome, awesome game. It's pulled me away from Demon's Souls (another totally addicting, absolutely glorious game). I love how Bioware is almost proud of the fact that they can use the exact same setup in every game and still make a new experience. Just goes to show that it's not what you say, it's how you say it.
I need to make sure not to make out with whores in front of the other girls I want to bang!
It is amazing how cinematic it is. It totally grips you, even with the emotions on the characters faces. The Darkspawn battle? When they pan the line and you see the fear on the front lines face. Classic.
There are only X n umber of story variations that can eb told. Bioware is doing so and still coming out with an amazingly fresh world.
FYI
I have a feeling, that this IS the ORIGIN of Mass Effect's world btw.
Really Than? LOL. I've finished one game as an Elf mage. Now I am playing it again as a human Rogue. Both are completely different so. I am not sure what advice to give you. There are some good walkthroughs online.
Basically in combat, take out whites asap, with the exception of mages. My PC's first rule....Kill the Mage.

I just did the broken circle quest with the mages and maleficar, and had to decide whether to kill em or not.... that was a hard ass choice, and I think that no matter which one I went with, I'd feel like I made the wrong decision LOL.
Basically, what I'd fear happening by saving them seems to have already happened, so I didn't bother killing them. We'll see if it can get worse though... the lore on maleficar is pretty damn bad, and I also read that the rite of anulment had to be use 30 times in 700 years. That's pretty damn often... once per generation....
So I'm still going on... I wanted to bitchslap Sten, but I respect him for some reason, and really want to know how he ended up in that cage...
I played the intro as a 2h warrior. Then tried the mage, playing a mage is so easy in this game. Combat is a breeze but would be impossible if friendly fire was on.
